Class Descriptions
Tumbling
NOVICE
Learn beginner tumbling skills such as forward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, back bends, back walkovers, and front walkovers. Also, begin to introduce slightly more advanced skills such as back handsprings, front handsprings and body control in front and back walkovers.
INTERMEDIATE
This is where we begin to focus on aerial flips such as back tucks, front tucks, and aerials and layouts. We will also focus on learning to put more power into our tumbling.
Prerequisite: Unspotted standing and round-off backhandsprings
ADVANCED
Advanced skills such as twisting skills begin in this class. Progressions into Arabians, full twisting layouts, whip throughs, connections of alternate tumbling.
Prerequisite: working layout
TINY TUMBLING
This is for our boys and girls ages 3-5. We focus on basic motor skills, balance, and fun.
BACK HANDSPRING
Designed for extra help in back handsprings only. No other skills will be worked on in this class. Focus is on the progressions of mastering a back handspring.
DANCER TUMBLE
A class for all our dancer friends who will be needing some tumbling skills for their competitive dance routines. Front walkover, back walkover, ariels, handsprings etc.
Skill
CO-ED STUNTS
Bring your stunt partner to work progressions of Co-Ed stunting in our structured class.
FLEXIBILITY
Work on improving the flexibility of the entire body as it is used in cheerleading and tumbling.
FLIGHT SCHOOL
Designed to improve on the overal skill of top girls (fliers). Includes in-depth stretching for top girl body positions and instruction on the proper ways to hold weight and the body during stunts. All stunting positions are welcome.
JUMP TECHNIQUE
This class will work technique in executing jumps correctly and to their best ability. Training and drills in improving height and timing of execution will also be worked in this class.
MOTION TECHNIQUE
This class is designed for those who want to be a part of a cheer class but could not commit to an entire year or currently do not want to compete. This class is designed for athletes wanting some cheer experience and to work on their motions.
OPEN STUNT
Designated floor space for groups of athletes to work stunting in a safe structured enviorment.
OPEN TUMBLING
This is a small class (max 20 tumblers) that will work on all levels of tumbling skills.
